Join Youth Day clean-up with Lions, Atlasville Organisation today
There will be collection bins available for the club's recycling projects - spectacles, hearing aids, printer cartridges, plastic bottle tops and tags.
Residents and the youth are invited to join hands with the Benoni Lakes Lions Club and the Atlasville Organisation today (June 16) for a youth community clean-up day.
The group will be cleaning around Finch Street, in Altasville, and the meeting point is at Atlas SPAR at 09:00.
Bags will be provided. Bring your gloves, water and wear a mask.
Benoni Lakes Lions Club president Beaulieu Maré said as it is Youth Day, they would like young people and families to get involved in making a difference to the environment.
There will be collection bins available for the club’s ongoing recycling projects too, namely spectacles, hearing aids, printer cartridges, as well as plastic bottle tops and tags.
“We are asking residents to support us by bringing any of these items,” said Maré.
