Cornelia and Koos have stayed in Benoni for 32 years and agreed that they love each other and are still happy together.

Greek philosopher Aristotle said people never know each other until they have eaten a certain amount of salt together, and according to Western Extension residents Cornelia and Koos Stoltz, they have eaten 50 bags of salt as they celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 17.

The couple met at an engagement in 1969 and has been inseparable since, after five children, 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

They said they still feel like they are on their first date.

Cornelia and Koos have stayed in Benoni for 32 years and agreed that they love each other and are still happy together.
