Benonians unique and colourful at shavathon
The event raised funds for Cansa’s care and support services to cancer patients.
A total of 120 people were shaved and sprayed at the Cansa Shavathon fund-raising event at Northmead Square on March 26.
The event, hosted by Cansa’s sustainability coordinator Mandy de Ridder, raised funds for Cansa’s care and support services to cancer patients and loved ones.
The theme for this year’s Shavathon was Be uniquely you – Be colourful.
“We know times are tough, and we’ve kept the cost the same since Shavathon started. Many South Africans take part on behalf of a loved one who has cancer or has died of cancer. Volunteers and staff are delighted to host events annually,” said de Ridder.
