News from the newsroom: welcome, interns!

Caxton Local Media offers a formal internship programme with TUT.

The Benoni City Times and Boksburg Advertiser welcomed two new interns to their newsrooms on March 4.

As part of a formal internship programme between Caxton Local Media and the Tshwane University of Technology, the interns will be working for the newspapers for six months and have the opportunity to work on both publications, under the mentorship of news editors Fanie Mthupha (Boksburg Advertiser) and Ntombikayise Sibeko (Benoni City Times).

Luccia Mashel resides in Etwatwa and is a third-year journalism student at the Tshwane University of Technology. She matriculated from WIllowmoore High School in 2018.

Trott Chaane lives in Daveyton and matriculated from Lesiba Secondary School in 2019. He is also a third-year journalism student at the Tshwane University of Technology.
