Learners display skills at speech contest

The talent was exceptionally high

Arbor Primary School learners displayed exceptional skills that impressed the judges in the school’s annual English and Afrikaans speech competition.

According to deputy principal Colleen Liebenberg, each learner eagerly prepared and delivered their speech.

The English speech contest winners are, back: Amini Madi and Tanique Fekete. Front: Ty Minnaar and Megan Dookkoo.

“The talent was exceptionally high. We were thrilled with all of the children who took part and congratulate all the winners in each grade.”

The English speech contest was won by Ty Minnaar (Grade Four), Megan Dookkoo (Grade Five), Amini Madi (Grade Six) and Tanique Fekete (Grade Seven).

The Afrikaans speech winners are Jessica Maughan (left), Ryder Cooksley, Anika Steynberg and Kayla Popela.

Kayla Popela (Grade Four), Jessica Maughan (Grade Five), Ryder Cooksley (Grade Six) and Anika Steynberg (Grade Seven) won the Afrikaans speech competition.

The overall winner was Tanique Fekete.
