LISTEN: ‘I’m proud to be from Daveyton’- Big Brother winner
The 27-year-old studied at Benoni Junior, Benoni West School and matriculated at Petit High School
Daveyton resident, Michelle ‘Mphowabadimo’ Mvundla, said she has a lot to be grateful for after winning Big Brother Mzansi season three in April.
Sharing her journey with the City Times, Mphowabadimo said the experience has been life-changing and humbling.
“I was influenced by my mother to enter the competition after I always wanted to be part of the show. Being crowned the winner this year was the perfect time and season.”
Mphowabadimo said upon entering the competition, she was a full-time traditional healer.

“I answered my calling in 2016 after dropping out of university due to vision loss,” she said.
The 27-year-old studied at Benoni Junior, Benoni West School and matriculated at Petit High School.
“Growing up in Daveyton taught me to be street smart though I was a shy child. Daveyton has sharpened me as a person and exposed me to a lot of things. I’m proud to say that I’m from Daveyton,” she said.
Since she departed from the Big Brother house she has become a household name, working with various big brands including Castle Milk Stout.
“The concept of Castle Milk Stout resonated well with my brand as to who I am, besides being the winner of Big Brother.”
Mphowabadimo plans to venture into business and grow in her spiritual work.
She has expressed gratitude to everyone who voted for her to win season three.
“I don’t see anyone as a fan but a family that I have gained through the show. Thank you for the support and for loving me from a distance. Please continue to do for others who will be on the show what you did to me,” said Mphowabadimo.
Big Brother Mzansi is a South African reality competition television series where contestants live in a specially constructed house and are observed 24 hours a day by the audience, who also decides who ultimately wins the game by voting.
