As lightning stretched its electrifying fingers across the sky, ghouls and blood-sucking vampires gathered on The Drive, Westdene, to take part in a ‘spooktacular’ Halloween walk on October 28.
Hosted by the Lakewest Resident’s Association, revellers came in full force, facing light showers and branch-bending winds to complete a walk around the Kormans Bird Sanctuary.
The event organiser, Glynis Holdsworth, laughed and cheered as participants made their way to the registration table.
“Despite the threat of rain the evening was a success and we enjoyed seeing so many families attending,” she said.
“The costumes were out of this world. Thank you to everyone who joined in on the fun. We look forward to next year.
