The Benoni Town Bowling Club invites you to its annual golf day at Benoni Lake Club on February 15.

According to chairperson Kevin Uren, the event raises funds to hold the International Bowls for the Disabled (IBD) World Championship from May 18 to 31.

“As a self-funded club, with no assistance from local government or sporting bodies in SA, we are appealing to companies and individuals to assist us in upgrading our facilities to world-class standard that will make the Benoni community to be a host club of this prestigious tournament,” said Uren.

The club is expecting bowlers from 15 countries.

Shotgun is at 11:00 for R1 600 per four-ball. To sponsor a hole, it will cost you R3 000 on par four and five and R5 000 on par three.

For a practice round on the putting green, it will cost you R5 000.

Interested businesses or donors will also get sponsorship opportunities by placing their branding at the venue.

“We look forward to working with you on this project. Thank you for expressing your sense of community and sporting friendship through this donation.”
