Off-duty security guard fatally shot in Daveyton
The motive for the shooting is unknown, and no arrests have been made.

A 42-year-old security guard was shot and killed in Ngomane Street, Daveyton, on October 25, at around 10:00.
According to Daveyton SAPS spokesperson Constable Ntando Ngomane, the off-duty security guard was walking on the side of the road when a white VW Polo stopped next to him.
“A passenger got out of the vehicle and, without saying a word, pulled out a firearm and shot the security guard. The car then drove off.”
Paramedics declared the security guard dead on the scene.
The motive for the shooting is unknown, and no arrests have been made.
