Diarise the date, stop and smell the roses and come explore the eight magnificent gardens which form part of the 23rd annual Beautiful Gardens of Benoni.
The Rotary Anns of Benoni van Ryn have been peeking over walls, peeping into gated properties and schmoozing homeowners to open their gorgeous gardens for the organisation’s garden tour, which has become one of the city’s highly anticipated calendar events.
On January 25 and 26 the gates to participating gardens will swing open for the exclusive two-day tour, which draws garden enthusiasts, members of the community as well as visitors from far and wide to Benoni’s tranquil suburbs.
The upcoming event will showcase sprawling gardens for ticket holders’ to enjoy the colourful blooms.
From Cloverdene to Western Extension, supporters of the club’s key fundraising initiatives are invited to take a leisurely stroll through the gardens while working up an appetite as they make their way to Victor and Stephanie Dick’s Alphen Park home, where the customary delightfully delicious tea garden with be hosted.
From pretty petunias to prego rolls, this tour is a must for friends and families.
Tickets are now on sale at R60 per ticket, valid for both days and children under 12 enter for free.
Gates open at 10:00 to 16:00.
