LETTER: Thank you to Actonville’s alumni

"Your actions are examples to us all."

Farouk Araie, Actonville, writes:
While words can never fully express how much the Actonville Community Alumni (ACA) has done for the community, an event that stands out is the contribution recently made to the Tambo Memorial Hospital’s occupational therapy department.

The organisation ensured that the young patients received a gift to take home, in honour and recognition of their efforts.

The joy on their faces bore testimony to their gratitude toward the ACA.

The community benefits greatly from the alumni’s monumental contributions which bring hope, often to seemingly hopeless situations.

Their dedicated service to the community reaffirms our faith in humanity, as they continue to assist others including the destitute and homeless.

ACA is the human face of eternal hope that embodies the principles of equality for all, through charity, compassion and selflessness.

Many of us dream of changing the world, but only very few, such as the ACA chose to act so bravely.

I would therefore like to extend my love and admiration for the organisation.
