Artists Working Together (AWT) has announced the winners of its recent competition, which required participants to vote for their favourite artist during an exhibition held at Northmead Square from November 25 to December 1.

AWT is a group of artists collaborating to promote their work.

For the competition, AWT partnered with several local businesses to offer exciting prizes.

Jacquelin Bekker was voted the favourite artist by Nico du Plessis who won the second prize, a framing voucher worth R500 from Rustinique Art and Frame.

These included a R1 000 Checkers voucher sponsored by AWT, a R500 framing voucher from Rustinique Art and Frame, a breakfast for two at Café Mirosta valued at R150 and an exclusive AWT art workshop for up to 10 family members or friends at a location of the winner’s choice.

The winners are:
• John Mann (Checkers voucher)
• Nico du Plessis (framing voucher)
• Tina Hartzenberg (breakfast voucher)
• Liz Mann (art workshop).

AWT member Karen Bond expressed her gratitude to the organisers, volunteers, sponsors and the public for viewing their artwork and participating in the competition.

“Thank you to Northmead Square and their marketing team for choosing Artists Working Together to display our art in the mall,” she said.
