Woman excited to have a roof over her head
The mother of four shared that she has moved into her new home with her children and eight grandchildren.

The Department of Human Settlements handed over 10 houses last year in the Helderwyk Mega Human Settlements project in Brakpan to gender-based violence victims, people with disabilities, and beneficiaries of child-headed homes.
The project aimed to reaffirm the government’s stance against abuse and its commitment to empowering women and assisting those most in need.
One beneficiary Mirriam Mokoena (62), who previously lived in Cloverdene, expressed relief at finally having a place to call home after everything she has endured.
