BFS officers remain committed to bringing criminals to book.

From January 15 to 17, members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) arrested four suspects.

Possession of stolen goods
Three men, aged between 21 and 34, were arrested on the corner of Voortrekker Road and Woburn Avenue, on January 15.

BFS officers responded to a call from a local security company stating that the occupants of a silver Volkswagen Polo were in possession of suspected stolen cellphones.

Upon arrival, it was established that the five phones were reported as stolen in Kempton Park.

These men were arrested after they were found in possession of stolen cellphones.

Sale of illicit cigarettes
A 27-year-old foreign national was arrested on the corner of Haley Avenue and Collin Street, on January 17, on charges of selling illicit cigarettes.

Twenty-one cartons, with an estimated value of R10 000 were confiscated.
