Young Nedbank Running Club runner Kai Hattingh continued her progress on the road when she dipped below 20 minutes for the first time during the 5km fun run at the Springs Striders race on January 19. After starting among the front runners, the Boksburg resident was the first lady home at 19:58, setting a new PB in the distance. At just 14 years old, Kai has proven her pedigree in road running after notching up several 5km wins. She’s preparing to run her first 10km race this year.
