Putfontein SAPS open inquest after decomposed body found

The Putfontein police have opened an inquest docket after the body of a man was discovered recently in a veld behind the police station.

According to Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Raider Ubisi, the deceased, believed to be in his 40s, was found lying face down, wearing only blue trousers.

Ubisi said the body was in an advanced stage of decomposition.

Police are appealing to the community to help identify the body or provide any information that may assist with the investigation.
