Operations will continue in an effort to stamp out crime.

Theft out of motor vehicle
A 34-year-old man was arrested in Brakpan after he broke into a vehicle outside the Post Office.

The complainant flagged down patrolling members of the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) and pointed out the suspect.

Possession of drugs
From September 15 to 21, BFS officers arrested six suspects on charges of possession of drugs with the intent to sell.

• Five suspects were arrested in Etwatwa and Actonville.
Mandrax and meth were recovered.

• On September 18, a 44-year-old man was arrested at his home in Tsakani.
A tip-off led BFS officers to the residence, where nine bags of dagga, with an estimated value of R8 000, were found.

Driving under the influence of alcohol
A man found himself on the wrong side of the law when he was arrested in Brakpan, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.

BFS members brought the suspect to book after he was spotted driving on the wrong side of the road.

Possession of ammunition
BFS officers arrested a 25-year-old man in Kempton Park when he was foond in possession of a live round of ammunition.
