LETTER: Good people still exist, thank you

Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

Johan Jonker, Benoni, writes:
I recently went to Coronation Fish and Chips, in Thirteenth Avenue, Northmead, to buy takeaway food.

I suffer from acute lung disease, and I requested the shop assistant to bring my order to my car.

I was not feeling well, and upon arriving at my vehicle, I opened the car door against my leg. It led to a profuse bleed.

I returned to the takeaway outlet in need of help.

A young man, who turned out to be the manager, came to my aid and gave me a place to sit. He tended to the wound with diligence and care.

This gentleman not only went out of his way to keep me calm and comfortable, but also ensured that the bleeding had stopped before dressing my leg.

Despite the outlet being busy and teeming with customers, it was heartening to be on the receiving end of his kindness and patience.

Thank you to this exemplary young man for going above and beyond in assisting a customer in need.
