Local schools clinch bronze medals at hockey tourney

The tournament brought together the best 10 best primary schools in each section.

Farrarmere Primary School’s boys’ hockey first team finished third during the North West Schools Hockey Champ of Champs tournament at the North West University (NWU) Astro from October 3 to 4, while Laerskool Northmead’s girls’ first team also clinched a bronze in the girls’ section.

Both teams’ captains, Joshua Willis and Chante Brits, top-scored in their respective sections to end the competition on a high.

The tournament brought together the best 10 primary schools in each section that won their schools’ leagues from across the country.
