RPS showjumpers in a league of their own
Rynfield Primary's young equestrians galloped to glory this season, earning a top-three finish at the Ekurhuleni awards after a year of standout performances.
Rynfield Primary School’s showjumping stars leapt to new heights this season, capping off an impressive South African National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA) campaign that showcased their skill, teamwork and determination.
The young riders flew the school’s flag, proving that age is no barrier when passion meets discipline. Their efforts paid off handsomely, with the team securing a well-deserved third place in category G at the Ekurhuleni awards.

Led by four standout riders Jaimie Riley, McKenna Douglas, Taylor Tindell and Madison Woods, who consistently delivered strong performances across events, the squad cemented its place among the region’s top contenders.
Their league had four qualifying rounds. Based on their Ekurhuleni league performances, they were selected to represent the region at the SANESA Gauteng Core League Regional finals in July and then the SANESA Nationals Core League and Rising Stars finals, held at Kyalami Equestrian Park, from October 7 to 11.

She enjoyed an incredible season, winning their classes all year in the qualifiers, the finals and at nationals in the Pony Rider 1.10m division, while also receiving her Ekurhuleni school colours.
Douglas, the school’s youngest rider, was awarded the top newcomer rider for the U9 age-group and victrix ludorum for dressage at the recent Ekurhuleni awards. At the nationals, the youngster placed 4th and 6th in her classes.

Tindell represented the Ekurhuleni A and B teams for the regional championships in her first year competing in SANESA. She was selected for the Ekurhuleni A team on Sunny Park Stables Rosie for level showjumping and then for the Ekurhuleni C team for the nationals.
Woods has qualified for regionals and nationals for two successive years and was awarded her Ekurhuleni School colours.
