Benoni SPCA elects new committee and honours dedicated members
The AGM also paid tribute to three long-serving members whose commitment has helped shape the organisation over the years.
The Benoni SPCA elected a new committee and recognised the dedication of long-serving members at its AGM on July 15, celebrating the people who continue to drive the organisation’s mission to protect animals in the community.
The newly elected committee will oversee the society’s governance, financial sustainability and strategic direction for the coming year while working alongside staff and volunteers to strengthen animal welfare services across the Benoni area.
Among the committee’s priorities are expanding community outreach programmes, supporting fundraising initiatives and overseeing projects aimed at improving access to affordable veterinary care and responsible pet ownership.
The society thanked the recipients for their unwavering support and acknowledged the contribution of volunteers, staff and committee members who work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need.



The AGM also paid tribute to three long-serving members whose commitment has helped shape the organisation over the years. Diane Wooldridge, Ben Thamaga and Michael Ramolefo were honoured for their dedication and years of service to the Benoni SPCA.
The organisation also expressed its appreciation to the community for its continued support through donations, volunteering and animal adoptions, noting that the collective efforts of residents, businesses and supporters remain essential to its work.
