Suspected stolen vehicle recovered

Members of the EMPD Bronberg Precinct recovered a suspected stolen vehicle on October 31.

According to spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, officers were performing routine stop-and-search operations at the corners of Putfontein and Cloverdene roads, when they stopped a white Hyundai LDV with two male occupants.

“A thorough search of the vehicle was conducted and it was found that the vehicle had been reported as stolen in Meyerton,” said Thepa.

“The suspects could not explain having the vehicle and were arrested on the scene.”
