People of all denominations are invited to attend the 93rd annual Women’s World Day of Prayer to be held on March 3.
The day is commemorated in 176 countries worldwide, during which women, men and children join in prayer for peace and justice.
In Benoni, the Benoni Baptist Church is the host church this year and the service will start at 9:30 for 10:00.
Last year, it was hosted at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
The theme this year is “I have seen your faith” (Ephesians 1:15-16), which encourages everyone to renew and reconcile their faith in Jesus Christ.

With Taiwan being the host country of the Women’s World Day of Prayer this year, the worship booklet/prayer programme for the day has been compiled by them under the guidance of the international committee.
The programme has been translated into eight of South Africa’s official languages.
Attendees can look forward to learning more about Taiwan’s diversity at the service.
Uplifting hymns one can look forward to include Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, Guide me, O my Great Redeemer and many more.
