The Matthew 25 Project’s fundraiser a huge success

Well-known artist Anthon Botha and actor Izak Davel entertained guests with their melodic sounds.

Benoni residents and few local companies showed true community spirit at The Matthew 25 Project’s fundraiser on June 3.

An amount of R20 360 was raised during the NPO’s Child’s Preferred Future Market Day. The organisation also received donations of baby diapers, wet wipes, food, clothes and toiletries.

Thirteen exhibitors promoted their products at the event, offering a variety of items such as handbags, sauces and delicious food.

Artist Anthon Botha and actor Izak Davel entertained guests with their melodic sounds.

Davel, who lives in Northmead, said him and Botha voluntarily performed at the event as part of giving back to the community.

Woodlands International College’s marimba band kept guests entertained with their marimba jams.

Debbie Smit and Maureen Antill had so much fun at The Matthew 25 Project’s fundraiser on June 3.

Paramedics from ER24 and armed response officers from Super Cops were also on standby for any incidences during the event.

Super Cops donated R3000 and Tracy Harris Properties donated R1080 from their raffle competition.

The Matthew 25 Project fundraising manager, Chantell van der Merwe, said: “We would like to thank everyone who supported us. We would like to send gratitude all the artists, the incredible team from ER24 and Super Cops for giving up their time to make our event a huge success.”
