Youngster invites women in business to upcoming conference

Aphiwe Dudula (18) of Daveyton is inviting entrepreneurs to an entrepreneur’s workshop at Marivate Hall in Daveyton on September 6.

She hopes this event will promote up-and-coming entrepreneurs and their products.

The Women in Power Business Conference aims to help women in business from communities.

“My wish is that women in business can help and support each other. We live in a generation that requires us women to support each other,” said Dudula.

Attendees can expect different speakers who’ll share words of encouragement. To attend the conference contact Aphiwe on 066 013 8866.

About Aphiwe
The 18-year-old is an entrepreneur and owns a thrift store on an app called Yaga.

Despite failing some of her subjects in matric last year, she knew she still wants to own her business.

She hopes to have her own store soon. Aphiwe is currently re-writing some of her matric subjects.

The youngster said her mother, Ronela Ngubeni, has inspired her to be the woman that she is.

“I’ve watched my mother struggle for years after losing her job and going through health-related issues,” said Dudula.

“With every little cent that she had, my mother bought us clothes and made sure we were well-fed.”

According to Dudula, she hopes she will create an environment where other women could develop themselves and gather skills.
