I would very much like to send a letter commending the outstanding service I have received from a woman in Legal Aid.
As you know, most agencies like this are frustrating to work with.
I feel I have had outstanding service and would like to have it in the paper.
I am a female, 46 years of age, who went through a very lengthy divorce/separation (five years).
I have been misadvised and overcharged through the duration of this.
I have,since May, 2012, been trying to arrange maintenance for my child, which again was a continuous round of postponements and very little results.
Towards the end of last year the magistrate ordered that I get assistance from Legal Aid.
I have been assigned a lawyer by the name of Monica Botes.
She has had a period of time working with my case now and can see how I, as a woman, and my children, get abused emotionally and financially and has truly given me hope, more than anything, that we will get justice in the end.
She has given me better advice and attention for MY best interests right from the beginning, compared to any other lawyer I have been involved with in all my years of frustration.
I hope that you will consider this letter for publication as I feel there are many women in my situation that never get justice.
I also feel lawyers who show such interest and heart in a matter are extremely rare!
