Letter was kind and considerate

Barry writes by email:

I would like to thank Mary, who wrote the article in a recent edition of the BCT. It was so kind and considerate of her.

The man who was hitting me was in his late 40s and was so foul-mouthed as well.

I was overtaken on the left side and then the car stopped dead in front of me.

I flashed my headlights and raised my hands in a questioning manner.

I do not use rude signs, ever.

The driver then proceeded forward at a deliberate snail’s pace, so I moved over to the left lane, upon which he followed suit and so it went on until we got to the traffic lights at Webb Street.

His father was in the back seat, videoing the occurrence.

They were being childish and did not move off when the traffic lights changed, so I moved slowly forward and “nudged” his tow bar to get him to stop his childishness.

This resulted in his father jumping out of the car and screaming at me and thumping my window, which I opened to ask him what his problem was.

He did not answer me but commenced punching me like he was in a boxing ring.

I was slightly concussed by the incident, but have recovered.

The young driver of the car then called his father off and they fled away in a tearing hurry.

It was not a pleasant experience and quite uncalled for.

Thank you again for showing your concern.
