Non-functioning service delivery from call centre

''Frustrated ratepayer'' writes by email:

I am disappointed that I was unable to contact the Ekurhuleni service delivery centre.

I tried all of the the various numbers several times, without any success, to establish the outstanding balance of my monthly rates account.

As there has been no postal delivery service, I am “in the dark” about my outstanding balance.

I also tried to contact the municipal services complaints centre, but this was a futile effort, as the number is permanently engaged.

I am hoping that ratepayers will be provided with the services they pay for.

I also wanted to establish what the refuse area cleansing levy of R5.70 is for and why the word Daveyton is spelt incorrectly, as Daveton, on the back of the invoice.

All of this spells incompetence that the ratepayers have to pay for.

Try dialling the following numbers: 011 999 6503/4/5; Complaints call centre 011 458 3000.
