Benoni City Times page 16 …What service delivery? Friday September 19.
I had the same problem; you can phone any numbers 999-6503 etc., but there are no answers, or it sounds like the phone is picked up and put down.
I live in Benoni town, on the corner of the main road, Prince’s Avenue, and Kimbolton Street.
I spoke to a Mr Alberts about two months ago.
I saw him in town and, knowing he works for Ekurhuleni, told him about the problem; I also told him you don’t get through on the telephone numbers.
He said he would see if he could help and took my name and address.
It is about our main road in Benoni. The water is streaming out into the road from the pavement side; it must be a burst water pipe.
This has been going on for over two months and nothing gets done about it.
Twice, when the Ekurhuleni workers cleaned the leaves and swept, I also mentioned it to them; no joy.
Now this must be an eyesore to many people in the area, not only me, and I am sure a lot of people also tried to contact Ekurhuleni.
Everybody just gives up.
So do you think something can get done about it?
