Thanks to those who responded

''Grateful Mom" writes by email:

On Saturday, September 20, on Third Road, Bredell, at around 11pm, my son was involved in a hit-and-run accident.

He was riding his motorbike home when a car hit him from behind, knocking him over and trapping him beneath his bike.

The person kept driving, pushing my son along in front of his car; luckily the bike came loose and my son was pushed to the side of the road.

The car kept going, leaving my son in the road.

A few minutes later he managed to flag down a car coming towards him and the gentleman stopped to help him.

I want to say a big thank you to him, the CMS guy who called the ambulance, the police who responded, the paramedics and the Linmed Hospital.

Your kindness and professionalism got us through a difficult time.

My son has torn muscles in one leg and some bruising; we are very lucky, as it could have been so much worse.

To the person who hit my son: do you even know you nearly killed someone?

If you do, how could you just keep going?

You will be caught and I hope you rot in jail for the rest of your life!
