A while back a huge delivery truck from one of our major hardware suppliers rammed an electricity pole and it broke off at the bottom.
It is now hanging from the cable, supported by a tree.
The angle of incline increases slowly.
I reported the matter to the supplier who said they would look into the matter.
I also reported it to the electricity department and received a reference number.
They asked if we had electrical power so I said yes, but if that pole falls down it will probably sever the cable.
This was on September 16, so it seems that to maintain and thus prevent a crisis is not on the cards.
If it falls we will probably sit without power for a day or two.
