The reason for my letter is to make the community more aware of the good that is being done around them and is not only going unnoticed, but, more importantly, unappreciated.
I am referring to the members of CPF (Community Policing Forum). The CPF is a group of men and woman who have come together to serve and assist the police and the community.
This is a voluntary membership if approved and there is no compensation to the members of any kind for doing this work.
These amazing men and women offer their time, putting their own lives at risk, at their own financial cost, to protect the community.
The patrols which take place daily are done voluntarily, the petrol costs being covered by the members patrolling.
The CPF members give up time with their families and loved ones to keep others families and loved ones safe.
These men and woman are dedicated to helping others, trying to assist the police in keeping crime under control as much as possible, protecting and supporting others in need.
They take their position very seriously and are 100 per cent passionate about what they are doing.
I urge every member of the community to be aware of the incredible job these men and woman are doing, to show some gratitude, appreciation and respect for the CPF members.
A simple “thank you” goes a long way.
These men and woman are an inspiration and deserve to be praised at every opportunity for their bravery, compassion, dedication, courage and strength.
CPF … a group of people rising above crime together, to better our tomorrow.
You guys are awesome and have my respect forever.
