Would the BCT kindly consider maintaining and regularly publishing a record of letters to the editor cases where:
“At the time of publishing, no reply has been received from the EMM” or similar, and “This letter has been sent to the municipality and no response has been received within the past two weeks, etc.”

The EMM staff receive our now-extortionate rates, yet their service delivery standards are generally deplorable (with a few notable exceptions and where I have personally experienced excellent service from the electricity department and from the staff in the main service hall and departments above).
The EMM mayor needs to be made publicly aware and held accountable for the otherwise deplorable situation.
The blame is often directed towards ‘contractors’, when the staff do deign to answer, but this is an unacceptable retort which, in most businesses, would result in the sacking of the under-performers in charge of the contractors.
That is, if you are lucky enough to get through to speak to anybody without the phone remaining unanswered or quickly off-hooked, forcing one to call again or being bounced from one number to the other.
Mr Editor, please can we ‘name and shame’ in your excellent publication yet also ‘name and applaud’ where appropriate?
Honourable EMM mayor, please clean up the deep-seated lethargy within your ranks.
The situation really is, with some exceptions, in a terrible state.
