I would like to congratulate the Kempton Park chief traffic officer who so promptly reacted to appoint a traffic officer the day after receiving my letter to assist to calm speeding along the R51 Pretoria Road.
At least the provincial authorities also received a wake-up call to paint the appropriate sections of the road.
Yet, with everything done, certain motorists and motorcyclists could not be worried because there is no speed trapping at all.

I need to stress this point of racing along this stretch of road.
Many youngsters are using this stretch of road for exercising their skill with bicycles to race one another to enjoy their sport on weekends.
Also, a recent accident with a car ended in the maize farmland.
Why must ratepayers on this side of the road freeze before they try to turn into their properties?
Our views are: appoint, at regular times, officers to patrol this road to teach these racers a lesson; hit their pockets good and solid.
Benoni traffic officials are comfortable under the blue gum trees doing what they intend to do.
Thank you if you want to participate to combat this racing problem which is sending innocent people to the mortuary.
