There are so many yards in Benoni with beautiful lemon trees laden with fruit.
Lemons are quite expensive so I can’t understand why these homeowners don’t invite people in the neighbourhood to come and collect a bag or two, since they are clearly not harvesting them – or maybe there are just too many for one household to make use of?
It seems such a pity to let them go to waste season after season.
I wish I had a lemon tree in my garden which was laden with lovely lemons.
Like they say … when life gives you lemons, make lemonade … or lemon meringue … or lemon curd … or give lemons to charities so that they can make lemonade!
But please do something with all those lemons on your trees others are eyeing with envy.
