The Dojo welcomes back members
The Dojo welcomed back some of its members who were competiting in other countries recently.
Senpai Jadene van der Walt, a member of The Dojo, in Benoni, and Shotokan Karate South Africa, recently represented South Africa in the Youth Cup WKF tournament, in Greece.
Although she came fifth overall in her category, Jadene was honoured to have represented her country against the finest in the world.
Sensei Takis Chaniotakos was also part of the officiating team that represented South Africa in the Zone Six WKF Karate Championship, in Namibia.
Sensei Takis was also honoured to have brought back the good news that South Africa came first overall against Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana and Angola.
