School launches car raffle

Miss South Africa, Marilyn Ramos, attended the launch of Farrarmere Primary School’s car raffle, on Friday, July 19.

Ramos gave the children a motivational talk and purchased the first raffle ticket at the school, putting her in line to win a brand new Ford Figo, valued at over R100 000.

The school aims to sell 1 050 tickets, at R200 a ticket.

The funds raised will be used to build a new playground at the school.

The Farrarmere Primary School learner who sells the most tickets will win a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and the teacher whose class sells the most tickets will win a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet.

The Ford Figo will be stationed at Northmead Square from July 29 to August 4, and September 30 to October 6.

The public will be able to purchase raffle tickets at the Northmead Square on the above-mentioned dates.

The winner of the draw will be announced at Farrarmere Primary’s first annual golf day, at Ebotse Links, on October 10.

The car was sponsored by Cassey’s Auto Benoni; Northmead Square donated R14 000 worth of advertising space and Samsung sponsored various prizes.
