Lake Club festival is successful

Benoni Lake Club hosted its annual Festival of Golf recently and the event was a great success.

The event hosts over 260 players and about 500 guests each year and continues to grow.

Non-profit organisation Project Feed the Children (PFTC) and Benoni Central Methodist Church are the major beneficiaries of the fundraising efforts.

Andrew Bromley CEO of The Lake Club Benoni said: “This year’s event was once again oversubscribed and we plan to continue our efforts on similar projects over the coming years.

“It is a privilege to work with partners such as Clare Pengelley from PFTC and Kevin Heatlie from the Christmas feeding scheme at Benoni Central Methodist Church.

“As a club we are mindful that we need to contribute to society and those who are less privileged, events like this go a long way towards demonstrating our intentions.

“The club itself is going through a highly successful period and there comes a time when need to give back”

The Lake Club is now 62 years old, home to over 1 000 members and continues to thrive. In recent years the facility has undergone major upgrades and the development is set to continue.
