Smith is double SA champ, again
Slade Smith (12) is a double South African champion again, as he was in 2012.
Smith has had a tough year participating in various motor racing disciplines.
He started out by winning the 2013 Gauteng Motocross Championships, in the 85cc Class, then went on to win the 2013 South African National Supermoto Championships, in the S4 Class and, finally, the MSA South African National Motocross Championships, in the 85cc Class.
He has fought extremely hard this year to excel in all the disciplines in which he participates, also winning every Gauteng Off-road Club (GOC) off-road event that he entered, but unfortunately due to date clashes, he was unable to complete the series.
Racing on his Mailwise International 85cc machine, he has fought tooth and nail all year long to notch up the points required to take the overall title and ultimately the South African national titles.
At 12 years old, the young rider is flying high.
He will leave for the United States of America on Monday, November 18, after wrapping up his championships in South Africa, to partake in the Mini Os in Florida, which is the annual Winter Olympics of Motocross.
Smith hopes to achieve well at this event, against some of the best young riders in the world.
