Princess Charlene hosts future South African rugby players in Monaco

HSH Princess Charlene attended the 5th edition of the "Saint Devote Rugby Tournament" organised by the Monaco Rugby Federation in collaboration with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, on Saturday, April 11.

12 teams from nine countries (including South Africa) competed at the Stade Louis II stadium.

Team South Africa was invited as part of the “South Africa – Monaco Rugby Exchange”, one of the flagship projects of sport and education initiatives to help build on the values ​​of sports and education between the two countries.

For the first time, a session of “Rugby Tots” was introduced in the tournament for children from 3 to 5 years.

Educational workshops and customised courses were also offered for youth with disabilities for a playful introduction to rugby.

The children shared beautiful moments, solidarity and fair play with Princess Charlene.
