Wings clipped by back nine eagles

Ebotse Links’ professional golfer Danie van Tonder finished two shots behind Kempton Park professional Ocki Strydom as runner-up in the 72-hole IGT Tour Centurion Championship on Thursday, June 30.

The Sunshine Tour pro closed with a score of 70 (an overall score of 277 that included rounds of 68, 71, 68 and 70) and finished two strokes ahead of 2016 Zwartkop Match Play champion Damian Naicker, who took sole third place on nine-under with 67.

Van Tonder led overnight, but a pair of eagles on the back nine from Strydom took the advantage away from him on the final day.
