Local junior equestrian athlete Laura Davidtz (14) and her horse, Blue Crush, competed at the recent South African Pony Rider and Junior Derby held at Kyalami Equestrian Park.
The pair, riding out of Leopard Creek Equestrian Centre, competed in four 1m derby tracks over the weekend, winning three out of four classes and achieving the fastest time in the other.
They finished a great show by winning the championship derby class in the 1m section.
The pair is coached by Benoni riding instructor Ashleigh-Lynne Coutts.
