Don’t miss Carnival City Macsteel National Classic
The road race gets underway at 6am on the Sunday over distances of 110km and 58km on a relatively flat course.
The popular Carnival City Macsteel National Classic Cycle Race is perfectly placed on the local cycling calendar to warm up for November’s 947 Ride Joburg event.
The race takes place at Carnival City on October 26 and 27 and caters for every event and distance ranging from 60km and 34km MTB races, as well as a six to 12km MTB event for children (7am start on the Saturday).
At the same time, the third edition of the trail run starts, with distances of 5km, 10km and 21km. The 5km event is also pet friendly.
The main purpose of the event is to raise money for local charities, particularly in support of Rotary projects, the Rotary Foundation and the further development of amateur cycling in South Africa.
