Local stable riders bringing home titles

This year local rider and owner of Sunny Park stables Nicola Sime Riley and her stallion Insaghi DB were successful in defending their title.

Riders from the Sunny Park stables recently competed in the prestigious Erreplus President’s Cup at the Maple Ridge Equestrian Farm.

All of them completed fantastic rounds and placed well in their rounds.

The competition is held for the Open pony riders, Open juniors and Open adult showjumpers with the competition consisting of four rounds of jumping.

The horse and rider with the least amount of penalties accumulated over all the rounds are crowned the winning team.

This year local rider and owner of Sunny Park stables Nicola Sime Riley and her stallion Insaghi DB were successful in defending their title.

The only other rider and horse combination that was ever successful in defending their title was Sime Riley herself and her wonderful horse Sharp Colt.

More good news for Sunny Park is that defending champion in the junior category, Hailey Strydom and her horse, Locarno Cosmopolitan, had a fantastic campaign even though she was unable to defend her title.

She managed to secure a third podium position.
