The Ebotse parkrun is back

Runners from all around Benoni were seen flooding into CR Swart Park on October 30.

The Ebotse Parkrun is back and in full swing since October 30.

Runners from all around Benoni were seen flooding into CR Swart Park at 08:00 filled with excitement and energy.

Carol van Aswegen, run director of Ebotse Parkrun, said they have not been able to host a parkrun for the last 19 months.

“It was so exciting to be back at the parkrun after such a long lockdown. I believe parkrun is a huge motivation for people of all different fitness levels. Not having parkruns has not been good for people, both mentally and physically.”

A total of 377 parkrunners were seen on the day.

“It was lovely to see some familiar and new faces. A fantastic first day back was had by all,” she concluded.
