Crystal Park karate star shines in Angola
She received a silver in kata and bronze in kumite.
Crystal Park Primary learner Reamohetse Langa proudly flew the South African flag in Angola after winning silver and bronze medals at the Union of African Karate Federations (UFAK) Region South Championships in Luanda from May 13 to 17.
The 12-year-old, who trains with Crystal Park Shotokan Tigers under sensei Louis Ramukulukusha, represented Karate South Africa in the girls’ 12–13 years kata and kumite under-42kg divisions, clinching a silver in kata and bronze in kumite.

Langa has emerged as one of the country’s promising young karateka through her dedication and consistent performances on the competition circuit.

Her achievements have already earned her Karate South Africa (KSA) colours in 2025, as well as Gauteng Karate Federation (GKF) and Ekurhuleni Karate Federation (EKF) colours.
According to her club, Langa has dominated local competitions, claiming gold medals in all her regional and provincial qualifying championships in 2025 and 2026.
Behind the young karateka’s success is the steadfast support of her grandmother, Lolo Matsabu, who has backed her throughout her journey.
Crystal Park Primary praised Langa’s achievements, describing them as a reflection of hard work, perseverance and sporting excellence as she continues to make her school, club and country proud.
