Central Gauteng Athletics will host the second track and field event of the 2022/23 season on October 15 at Germiston Stadium.

The track and field pre-season is focused on primary age groups, which are development ages from seven to 13 years old.

“Over the years we have had great athletics talent coming out of these age groups. These meetings aim at giving our athletes a chance to compete to prepare and qualify for the Inter-Provincial Championships, which will be hosted in Pretoria on November 26,” CGA said in a statement.

The season consists of three league meetings of which the first event was hosted on October 1 at Germiston Stadium.

The organisation has called on all clubs to send athletes to come and compete.

The entry fee for athletes is R20 and R50 for spectators. No temporary licenses will be sold.

Entries close on October 11. The event will be a pre-entries only. Athletes can enter using this link: https://tinyurl.com/15oct2022subyouth

• Nine years old (born in 2013/2014)
