Be entertained at the Jazz Monate’ sessions
Gather with family and friends for a relaxing experience at the Sunday Jazz Monate sessions, in Carnival City’s newly refurbished Mardi Gras Theatre.
The next performance will take place on Sunday, August 18, and the hosts of the show include celebrated jazz presenter Themba Tshabalala (Jozi Fm), Mlungisi Gegana featuring Lindiwe Maxolo, who has just released her debut album and is making waves with her distinctive style of music, and Mlungisi Majola (Thembisa Fm).
The show starts at 3pm and the entry fee includes the cost of a meal.
The Jazz Monate sessions are an appreciation of all things jazz, from cool jazz to traditional jazz, modal jazz, free jazz, latin jazz, soul jazz, jazz fusion, jazz funk, smooth jazz, nu jazz, and every other conceivable derivative of the genre.
Jazz greats, from Louis Armstrong to Duke Ellington and Robbie Jansen will be celebrated, along with living artists from South Africa and the rest of the world.
