For the love of wood
The 10th annual East Rand Woodworkers’ Association (ERWA) woodworking fair will be held on September 21 at the Northfield Methodist Church.
The fair will start at 9am and will be held at corner Aerodrome Avenue and Webb Street, Benoni.
Entrance is free and safe parking is available on the church grounds, the public is advised to use the entrance on Hurricane Avenue.
This year’s fair will focus on training facilities and practical demonstrations.
Outdoors, several well-known suppliers will exhibit and demonstrate the latest woodworking equipment, accessories and materials and ERWA members (including junior members) will give hands-on demonstrations of techniques such as carving, scroll sawing, turning and routing.
In the hall, wooden furniture, clocks, toys, carving, musical instruments, ornaments and other items made by ERWA members and invited guests will be on show.
A wide range of wooden items will be on sale.
A credit card facility will be available.
