An 80’s Rock show to headbang to

Prepare for Barnyard’s first ever alternative rock show, at the Boksburg Barnyard, on Sunday September 22.

This one is for true fans and pays tribute to the best alternative and contemporary rock bands of our lifetime.

The show includes the music of The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy, The Cult, Depeche Mode, My Chemical Romance, The Mission, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Violent Femmes, Joy Division, The White Stripes, Echo and The Bunnymen, Placebo, New Model Army, The Smiths, Siouxs and The Banshees and more.

It will feature the talents of Danny de Wet, David Beretta Owens, Jon Preston, Jay Wilton, Julian von Plato, JP Matthews, Justin Hart, Jenna Meiring, Martin Dugdale and Storm Thomas.

The young guitar virtuoso who features in the show is Martin Dugdale “Thor” a Benoni resident.

The 20-year-old guitarist and ex-vocalist for Mizera has been performing live since the age of 14.

Thor is currently in the final year of his H B Mus Music Degree, having already completed his Higher Diploma in Contemporary Music in 2010, at the age of 17.

Doors will open at 6.30pm for the show to start at 8pm.
